How to Cook Chicken and Feta Pasta

In this recipe you will learn how to make a delicious penne with chicken and feta

Supplies

  • 500 Grams Penne
  • 500 Grams Skinless chicken breast fillets
  • 1 Small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 Cloves of garlic (crushed)
  • ½ Cups Chicken stock
  • 825 Grams Can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 Tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 60 Grams Reduced fat feta cheese (cut into small cubes)
  • ¼ Cups Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • Canola oil spray
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Step 1- Bring water to the boil in a large saucepan then add 1 tablespoon of salt to season.

    Step 2

    While water is boiling prepare your ingredients (in supplies list)

    Step 3

    Cut of fat from chicken.

    Step 4

    Cut chicken into strips.

    Step 5

    Crush garlic and peel.

    Step 6

    Chop the garlic.

    Step 7

    Water boiling and add half table spoon of salt.

    Step 8

    Add 500gm of penne to boiling water.

    Step 9

    Penne in boiling water.

    Step 10

    Stir penne so it doesn't stick then leave to boil for 12 minutes till the penne is cooked.

    Peel and cut onion.

    Step 12

    Peeled onion.

    Step 13

    Chop onion.

    Step 14

    Spray canola oil on frypan.

    Step 15

    Add chicken.

    Step 16

    Cook till brown.

    Step 17

    Then add the garlic and onion then stir till brown.

    Step 18

    Add a half cup of chicken stock.

    Step 19

    Add tablespoon of tomato paste.

    Step 20

    Add diced tomatoes and leave to simmer.

    Strain penne.

    Step 22

    Add to sauce.

    Step 23

    Then stir in the sauce.

    Step 24

    Before serving.

    Step 25

    Add the feta to the pasta then stir.

    Step 26

    Chop the basil.

    Step 27

    Add the basil and stir once more.

    Step 28

    Serve and enjoy!
