These are the Chinese noodles I found at my local grocery store. You can find them in the international aisle with the other Asian items.
Same with the sauce. You can use any sauce... I like the chow mein or schezuan sauces as well.
Tofurky sausage. I only had one left, but use can add more in. You can substitute any meat in for the tofurky. Ignore the fact that its Italian sausage I'm putting into my Asian noodles :)
Essential: sesame seeds!! I love the flavor they add!!
Get a large pot of salted water on the stove and get it boiling.
Once the water boils, add the noodles!
Set your timer for however long the package says to cook the noodles. I have to do this, otherwise I tend to overcook noodles.
After the timer goes off, taste a noodle. If it's to your liking, strain the noodles and run cold water over them. Set the noodles aside while you prepare the other ingredients.
Chop up onion, garlic, and sausage.
In a large skillet, heat a splash of olive oil and add the onions.
Once onions become translucent, add the garlic and meat.
Once the meat and onions reach your desired level of cooked-ness (about 5-7 min), add a little of your sauce. Stir and cook for an additional minute.
Add about half the bottle. Do NOT add the whole bottle... Your noodles will be too salty!!
Add all of the noodles!
My noodles are well sauced, but you can add more sauce to taste.
Top with sesame seeds and serve with your fancy chopsticks! Enjoy!
