How to Change a Tire

by Eric Kellar

Supplies

  • A jack
  • A 4-way lug wrench
  • Spare tire
  • Screwdriver
  • Instructions

    Step 1

You can use a screw driver to pop the center cap off the wheel.

    Step 2

You should now be able to see the lug nuts.

    Step 3

Find the right size end on your 4-way that fits your lug nuts. Break them loose, but don't take them all the way off just yet.

    Step 4

Locate where your jack is at.

    Step 5

Now jack it up under the axle or frame if you have a car, make sure it's in a good place so it doesn't slip off and fall.

    Step 6

    Pull your spare tire out.

    Step 7

Finish pulling your lug nuts off and your wheel can come off.

    Step 8

Now put your spare on and make sure you put your lug nuts back on the wheel just as tight or tighter.

    Step 9

You can now pop the center cap back on and you are good as new.
