So, lately I've been having lots of dental work done. Good work, no cavities or anything like that! This is the first step to my dental-fixing journey: spacers.
I am a teenager, and in the next few months I'm getting braces, etc. A dental spacer is basically I blue rubber band/plastic material to go between certain teeth.
I have 2: one on each side of my mouth (on the top) In a week I'm getting them taken out. They're not permanent! In this guide, I will show you how to care for them in those painful few days!
Side view! See that blue band??
I know this looks funny haha! But do you see those dark blue bands?
It feels like having food wedged between your teeth!
You can not have any: -gum -soft,chewy candy -popcorn -sticky food Or, (in my opinion) -soft breads While having these in your mouth! If they fall out, visit your dentist.
Mine need to stay in for 3days-1week but it will vary! Do not play with them (with your fingers or tongue) because they can become very loose.
Remember to not floss in that area ESPECIALLY between those teeth. Avoid brushing roughly in that area! Avoiding gum etc. will decrease the chance of getting cavities between the teeth.
I hope this helped! Please request some guides :) I'm getting braces, retainer, elastics, and expander very soon, so I can do more dental-related guides. Thankyou!
