How to Baked Vacherin Mont D'Or Cheese (English)

  • 1 round Vacherin Mont d'Or (500 gr)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 dl dry white wine
  • Slices of dried beef
  • sweet pickles
  • Bread
  • Aluminium foil
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Before starting the recipe, preheat oven (200 ° C/370º F)

    Step 2

    Wrap the box Mont d'Or with foil, with this you will avoid burning the wood while baking

    Step 3

    Peel the garlic cloves

    Step 4

    Open a small hole with a knife

    Step 5

    Insert the garlic clove into the small hole

    Step 6

    Repeat with all the garlic cloves

    Step 7

    With the tip of a knife, make a small hole in the center of the cheese

    Step 8

    Pour the dry white wine into the hole

    Step 9

    Bake in the oven (15 to 20 minutes)

    Step 10

    To serve, place the cheese box onto a serving plate and eat like fondue style with gherkins (pickles), pickled pearl onions, slices of dried meat and bread
