How to Bake Light Strawberry Pound Cake

Supplies

  • 1 Package of Betty Crocker Pound Cake Mix
  • ⅔ Cups Milk
  • ½ Stick (1/4 cup) Butter, Softened
  • 2 Eggs
  • 5 Tablespoons Grated Strawberries
  • 3 Tablespoons Sugar syrup
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Add grated strawberries into sugar syrup and mix well.

    Step 2

    Beat Cake mix, milk, butter and eggs in mixing bowl on low speed 30 sec, then on medium speed 2 mins (batter will be thick). Or you can beat 4 mins by hand.

    Step 3

    Add in the strawberry syrup into batter and mix well.

    Step 4

    Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Generously grease with shortening.

    Step 5

    Pour batter into pan. I'm using 9 x 2" (rectangle size). Bake time is about 50 mins. Note : If using loaf pan smaller than 9 x 5", use 2 loaf pans, or batter will overflow.

    Step 6

    Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool about 10 mins. Then remove cake from pan and cool completely on cooling rack.
