In a jug or bowl mix flour..
..and sugar. I didn't have the patience to so it by hand so I used my food processor when adding the butter.
In other words I moved the content of the jug to the food processor and then I added the butter.
Now we almost have a dough.
Add as many dried cranberries as you like!
Then add the cream.
Use a spatula to make a dough. If needed add more flour.
Form 6 scones and place them onto a baking sheet.
Coat them with whisked egg.
Place the scones in the oven and bake for 20 minutes at 200 C.
I added a couple of minutes to the baking time since the scones were a bit "doughy" after 20 minutes. If they get too much color cover the scones with some foil.
These are best served right away but can be saved a day or so. IF you get any leftovers, put them in the toaster to get that lovely melted butter sensation again.
Enjoy the scones with butter and a nice (aged) cheese or why not with some cream cheese?
