How to Bake Cheese Scones

Supplies

  • 1 ½ Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 ½ Cups Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Large egg
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    Grate 3 cups of cheddar (2 is ok too but why not 3?)

    Step 2

    Melt 3 tbsp of butter and let cool.

    Step 3

    Lightly beat a large egg and stir in 1 cup of milk, all at room temperature.

    Step 4

    Sift together 1.5 cups of flour, 1 tbsp of baking powder, 1.5 tbsp of sugar and 1 tsp of salt. Then stir in the grated cheese :)

    Step 5

    Stir melted butter into milk & egg mixture. Lightly combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients. Fill muffin tray with your sticky mixture (each 2/3 full) & bake at 175 deg Celsius for 20-25min

    Voila!

    Break apart, take a deep breath of the smells and pop in mouth. Heaven!
