How to Bake Candy Cane Cupcakes!

This is a wonderful Christmas treat almost everyone will enjoy! They are easy to make and are a beautiful decoration too!

Supplies

  • 1 Betty Crocker white cake mix box
  • 3 Egg whites
  • 1 ¼ Water
  • ⅓ Vegetable oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Peppermint extract
  • 1 Teaspoon Red food coloring
  • 3 Cups Powder sugar
  • 1 ⅗ Teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 5 ¾ Cups Butter or margarine
  • Instructions

    Step 1

    All of your ingredients you will need.

    Step 2

    Your cake ingredients.

    Step 3

    Preheat oven to 350.

    Step 4

    Set up 24 muffin wrappers.

    Step 5

    Add all your ingredients up-1/3 cup of vegetable oil, 1 1/2 cup of water, three egg whites, and Betty Crocker box mix.

    Step 6

    Add 1 tablespoon of peppermint extract

    Step 7

    Mix ingredients on low a speed. Spilt your batter into two even bowls. You will put red food coloring in only ONE bowl.

    Step 8

    Add 1 tablespoon of red food coloring.

    Step 9

    Fill only half of the muffin sheet up with red batter.

    Step 10

    On top fill the other half with the white batter.

    Step 11

    Take your knife and swirl it so will get the marble effect.

    Step 12

    Put into oven for 18 to 20 minutes when done cool for 10 mins.

    Now it's time to make the icing.

    Step 14

    Add all the ingredients-3 cups of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, 5 2/3 cups of butter or margarine, and 1 1/2 of vanilla extract.

    Step 15

    Mix it all up with mixer on a low speed.

    Step 16

    I put it into this container so it would be easier to spread on the cupcakes or you could just use a knife. You will ice your cupcakes.

    Step 17

    Smash the 5 candy canes that you used and sprinkle them on top of the cupcakes once you're done Icing.

    Here is where you can see the neat texture of the marble you created earlier.
