2/3 cup milk 1/2 cup mashed banana 1 egg 1 tablespoon butter 3 cups bread flour 3 tablespoons sugar 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1 package active dry yeast 3/4 cup toasted & chopped walnuts
I generally have some over ripe bananas in the freeze ready for when I want to bake some banana bread. Just let them thaw in a warm place or pop them in a pot of hot water to speed up the thaw.
Place the walnuts on a baking tray and toast in an oven at 210 for about 5 minutes.
Place all the wet ingredients in the bread maker first, with the exception of the butter.
Next the dry ingredients with the exception of the walnuts. Making a well in the centre for the yeast (this will ensure it mixes in evenly)
Turn the bread maker on. Basic white bread setting works just fine, choose your normal crust settings. Once it's started to mix the ingredients add the butter.
Let the bread maker do its thing and add the wallnuts when there is the long Beep after the first pass of mixing has been done. have a glass of wine or cup of tea while you wait for the bread to bake.
