This is the paper mache box I used to alter.
I started by adding Mud Paste through these stencils on my box and allow to dry for some pretty texture. Give it a coat of gesso once dry.
For some added texture I added this chicken wire to the top of the box. I also added some random metal pieces, cover with white gesso.
Melt your UTEE in your pot and then dip your flowers until completely covered. Stick in a piece of styrofoam to dry.
I took this white mulberry flowers and painted them with different shades of AA's Velvet, Orchid, Taxi Cab, Rose & Reef. Dry them completely before the next step.
These are the different colors I used to paint the flowers before dipping in the melted UTEE.
The UTEE provides a gorgeous coating to your flowers and makes them look like glass
Here is a photo of the flowers up close, I dry brushed them with white gesso, which I think next time I will leave this step out because I prefer them without the dry brushing.
Using your finger take the gold metal effects and rub on the top of your high points.
Here is a photo of the inside of the box. Now my essential oils have a nice place to call home.
Add my title and distress the edges also with the metal effects gold.
