First measure the paper you are going to need

Cover you box, tightly, with the rolled paper

When you are done measuring, cut the paper where it meets at the roll

Center your box on the paper

Optional: fold one side of the paper for a clean look

Make sure to have your tape ready. I stick my tape on my arm for easy access. You should only need 3 pieces.

Wrap the side without the fold on the box tightly.

Now wrap the folded side over the box,tightly,     and tape the paper together

Now to fold the edges

Well to tell you the truth, good quality wrapping can give you a straight edge. Also if the sides become crooked sometimes its better to just play it off or start over, one you folded the paper there is no going back. To play it off you can do a really big, beautiful bow and no one will notice if its crooked.
