I've been wishing to have google chrome on my iPhone for a long time now. I like how chrome is straight forward without all the clutter and useless features. I also like the speed of the browser.

So here I'll give a walk through on it's basic features and how to use them. So far I'm very happy with this browser.

Step 3 of 17

Like the normal google chrome. You can fill in the website URL's and searches in the same text box. It also has the feature where it'll guess what you're typing and give a list in a drop down menu.

@Heather-Rettberg sure, But please note, that maybe i wont find one, and if i did find one, it will most likely be a tweak that only jailbreakers can apply

My iDevice is jailbroken, i think there is a jailbreak tweak to allow it to set chrome as default browser

Yes. Chrome has unlimited tabs. But apple only allows safari to be the default browser. In other words if you're in another app and open a "view on the web" type link. It'll always open in safari. To open in other browsers you'll just have to copy and paste the URL.

@Alyson Hames yeah, plus, google chrome has some negatives, it cant install profiles, oh and, you can remove the safari from the dock @Heidi Feldman and put google chrome instead of it in the dock..

Heidi, I am not sure why you think you ld need to delete your safari app in order to use the google chrome app. Not to mention you can't actually delete stock applications. Google chrome is what it says it is. Just like snap guide, it is just an app. 😔

Dear @Heidi Feldman, it looks like google chrome can only support....... UNLIMITED TABS!!

Hi Ron!!!!!! LTNS! Hope all's well with you and yours! Question... How many Tabs does Chrome allow? I currently have Safari that came with the iPhone 4. Would one have to delete the original web browser and then upload the new web browser? The huge drawback to Safari is that you're only allowed a maximum number of 8 sites. Cheers my friend! 🍻

The new Safari browser coming out will have the URL/search feature. Personally I find Google Chrome to be too bulky looking for my taste, but it's totally worth it for the incognito tab.

No. Get it in the app store. It's free.
