How to UPCYCLE Some Polystyrene Into a Cool Seed Sprouter
I grow lots of plants in an Aquacultre Environment :) Upcycling just adds to the pleasure :)
Gather supplies together at your workbench
Press craft knife into polystyrene till you hit your bench then score a line to separate sprouted seeds
Press seeds into the holes with the sprouting area exposed. My seeds are watermelons, so I plant them round side in first
OPTIONAL: Press a nail thru a ziplock bag or a folded seed packet as a marker. You could just write on the top with a permanent marker
Next is the easy bit, float in your pond SEEDS DOWN and wait 1-2weeks for the sprouts to appear :)

That is watermelon sprouting after just 3 days
That is a coir pot in a thicker piece of polystyrene with a bean shoot emerging after 7 days
That is Rocket in a coir pot floating in a bucket of water and nutrients after just 7 days
