How to Tie a Bowtie

Here are some tips I've picked up for tying a bowtie.

Step 1 of 5
Line up the ends of the bowtie so that your left side is longer. The patterns are sort of like puzzle pieces which should be aligned such that they could interconnect.

Step 2 of 5

Cross the long end of the tie over the shorter one and prepare the bow.

Step 3 of 5

Prepare to loop the tie back around.

Step 4 of 5

Shove the tie back through the loop.

Step 5 of 5

Pull the ends to adjust the shape.

So there's a cool trick I learned today. In Step 4, if you fold the loop together in the center it makes it look nice and imperfect.
