Another possibility is the use of paper towel rolls. Just cut them to size. I label my cords with a plastic bread holder using a sharpie.

LOL I guess u need sun the toilet rolls to kill germs then paint them to be nice. But it's for better storage in boxes so u won't probably see them so much
