Place it in problem area and let it sit as long as you can take it. I dont mind the taste so I can handle it for long periods of time

If you would rather use it as a rinse use it with peroxide :) Peroxide is amazing, and is used in most teeth whitening systems.

This should be a temporary fix, toothaches usually mean there is an infection in your gum. Go see your dentist ASAP for an appointment.

She gave me nothing, but ibuprofen is doing wonders for me! She says since I had 3 cavities filled it was a lot of work at once so it's normal. I just have to wait it out for a few weeks! Thanks for your concern!

I would assume the dentist would have prescribed a pain medication. I almost always receive some kind of prescription when I leave a dentist office for a procedure. You may want to contact the dentist office where you received your filling, hopefully it's temporary.

I got a filling today. I wasn't numbed fully & it hurt like heck when she started drilling! She numbed it more, but now hours later, it still hurts, like an ache! Is that normal? Anyone??

Yeah, I could feel cold any time something touches my tooth, everyone always just puts fillings in and they just plop out every time, still waiting for that glorious dentist appt.

Trauma to a tooth causes the nerve to die. It's a slow death for the one or it's already dead and has abscessed. Take an ice cube and place it on the tooth. If you feel no cold you need a root canal and then a crown. If you feel cold and then the pain lingers around for a bit the nerve is dying and a root canal and crown is still needed. If you feel cold but it goes right away you may just be dealing with a crack and you would just need a crown.

I'm not sure exactly what is wrong with it, I was kicked in the left side of the face by a horse when I was about 15, part of my tooth broke, and they filled it in, I was fine till about 18 and the filling came out, then just filling after filling because they just won't stay in. I'm just ready for someone to pull it after 5 years of random toothaches and fillings that fall out lol

Dying. You may want to have an endodontist evaluate the area before extracting if it comes down to that.

Well as a dental assistant for a root canal specialist, sensitivity that doesn't go away is a sign of the nerve DUI g

Yeah I have one tooth that they just keep filling, and my dentist refused to remove it bc he said my teeth would end up being crooked as I aged and my teeth moved :( so I made an appointment with another dentist for a second opinion

As a dental asst. that could be the start of periodontal disease. Mostly because of the lack of flossing or using a hard bristle brush (always soft). If you don't take care of it, there will be serious health problems down the road. Not just with your teeth, but can cause heart disease (plaque on teeth is the same stuff the builds up in you heart). Floss, brush, and rinse with an anti-bacterial mouthwash.
