How to Teach Your Dog to Speak
Get your pup pup ready! Isn't she cute?!
First get your dog to sit, like so.
Okay my dog was alway a barker, so what I did was tell her to speak every time she barked and I gave her a treat. It took a while but now she knows to bark when I say speak.
This is what it looks like. She gets a little excited! I guess it's a Boston thing.
Now if your dog doesn't normally bark, what I do with my other Boston is I bark at him until he joins in. (yes I sound silly) then once he barks I say speak! And give him a treat with lots of praise.
Hopefully after some training your dog will get it and stay seated. Lilly likes to hop around so I just let her cause it's cute lol.
