With the iPad, it is easier than ever before to take screenshots and save images. Thus, I find it useful to teach students to use the Advanced search option on the iPad to locate copyright free images

Use the Google search in Safari to locate a topic of interest.

Note the images that appear prior to the advanced search.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and view Google in "Classic" mode.

Scroll to the bottom to locate the Advanced search option.

Note the drop-down options for usage rights.

Great question - any lawyers out there who could answer?

Interesting. I wonder how many people, including myself, have taken images from Google, Bing etc. Then used them in their email or on Facebook, not knowing there was a copyright on them. What happens to them, if they are caught?
