Pull the bottle out and use something to protect against burning your fingers. I used my shirt, but it may be better to use oven mitts. Twist the cap off while the plastic is soft.

The cap will come off, but will still hold onto the bottle because we didn't mess with the thread.

Step 7 of 10
Pour your favorite cleaning solution into the bottle at your own known measurements.

Mix with water. Now if you are afraid this might gunk up your Swiffer to use regular tap water, use Distilled water instead.

Well you could always just use the small sample bottle. Honestly the big bottle makes the Swiffer pretty heavy. Either way, they both work the same.

This is absolutely fabulous! Thanks! Too bad I just have the sample-sized bottle to start with. I'll still have to buy a full-size one but oh well. This will save me oodles of $ after that purchase! THANK YOU!

Guy, just a quick TY. I did exactly what you said and it worked perfect. Now for u weak girls out there like me, it took three times of putting the bottle in for 1 min each time to get it soft enough and oven mitt was way to awkward and Guy did it the right way, t shirt works fine. Great idea.

I like to use liquid sunshine (vt soap factory). It's kind of pricey, but it is a great product....I buy several products at once so I can get the wholesale price... What do you use?

We bought bones from our local butcher, just gigantic!

Yeah dogs wouldn't eat wheat naturally so we shouldn't feel them it. Yeah you go to the pet store there will be 2 outta 15 that's has no wheat and those ones are usually expensive. So I just go to the health food store and buy them gluten free cookies and cereal for snacks. They seem to like them more. Also I get a bag of smoked or lamb bones from my local butcher for 15 dollars. That's a perfect way to keep your dogs entertained also they clean there teeth.

@Steph Really? I've seen some homemade dog biscuit recipes that are made with wheat! I'll steer clear from those!!!

Yeah so have I and that's so scary to think of that. I used it only once and he puffed up and his throat was closing. My Boston terrors are so sensitive to many things. Also no dog should eat wheat but they are even more sensitive to it. My male Buddy he gets dandruff when he eats wheat. Lol

Try to make your own detergent look at my guide all purpose cleaning detergent. I have 2 pugs and when I use swiffer they all ways run into the garden. Now they don't care when I use this lemon cleaner.

Yea I like the Swiffer formula, it's just really expensive compared to a concentrated formula. Pet wise, I always had to shut them in another room or let them out in the backyard until the floors dried. I heard of some animals dying because they would lick their paws after they stepped on the wet floor. You just have to be careful.

That's such a good idea I had a wet jet but the solution made my dogs had allergic reactions to it. (wet jet not pet friendly) that's a good idea how I can keep using it and not just sitting in my closet
