Since brooks saddles are leather, they need some extra love and care to stay healthy and comfortable. For this I use brooks proofhide for the top and sno-seal for the bottom.

Step 2 of 6

Heat saddle with hair dyer until its warm to the touch.

Apply the sno-seal to the inside of the saddle liberally.

Step 4 of 6

On the outside apply the proofhide like wax. Be careful with this stuff on clothes. It has a lot of oil in it.

Once dry (overnight) wipe the proofhide off.

Along with this treatment once every 2-3 weeks for 3 months your saddle should be conditioned and broken in.
