Put 1 Tablespoon butter in cup & melt in microwave (or stovetop) about 1 minute.
Step 4 of 14
Add butter to eggs and whisk.
Step 5 of 14
Add the flour and whisk in.
Step 6 of 14
Add milk and whisk together. The batter will be thin.
Step 7 of 14
Your batter is ready!
Step 8 of 14
Melt butter in a large frying pan ( over medium heat).
Step 9 of 14
Ladle in the batter and wiggle around until it covers whole pan.
Step 10 of 14
When the edges start to brown, your crepe is ready to flip.
Step 11 of 14
Flip carefully with a spatula so the other side can briefly cook.
Step 12 of 14
Slide crepe onto a plate.
Step 13 of 14
For your filling, get creative! I like butter, sugar and berries. Other possibilities - sliced banana and chocolate, nutella, cream cheese and strawberries, powdered sugar, the list goes on and on!
Step 14 of 14
Voila! Roll up and enjoy! (Batter makes enough for about 4-5 crepes.)
I love to create! All kinds of things. Food, crafts, jewelry, art, photos, theater, events, history, social justice. My proudest creation is my daughter!
My favorite crepes that I always had to drove out to buy from a crepe specialty place made one filled with arugula, ranch dressing, chicken and avocado...mmmm! Your guide and the tips I'm getting here are gonna inspire me to save a trip and make them at home. Thx all.
Great guide! I make them too but without the butter, they are healthier that way. I like adding a few drops of vanilla essence but they are nice with almost any flavouring. A pinch of salt and some sugar in the batter too. In Romania people fill them with jam or honey, some people like it with sugar and lemon juice or sugar and chocolate powder. I like them with crumbled feta.
Thanks for all the positive feedback. It's so great to take something you make all the time and share it with others so that they can make it to. Sometimes I even make extra batter and save it in the fridge so we can have crepes over several days. They are so yummy!
Wow! Tried the recipe this morning. Perfect taste! Just like the "fancy" ones you get at restaurants and shops. SO EASY! I love it! Will definitely use this again. Thanks for the guide.
