Great idea but heated plastic can leech into food so I do worry about that.

I use ziplock bags. Works the same. Just don't have to tie it.

Make sure the egg is covered by water, an keep it in the boiling water on the stove. Don't turn the stove off. Only put 1 egg in the wrap. Let me know how you go :)

I guess I boiled it for too long because there was still so much fluid egg white after like 6 mins. Will try again! :)

For 1 egg in the wrap I left it in the boiling water for 4 minutes. Make sure there is enough water in the pot as well. Best to use high quality wrap as they are usually the kinds you can use in microwaves.

Trying this right now, great idea. I unpacked the wrap when it was still too liquid, so I re-wrapped it. Super simple. I have low quality wrap though and I gotta say it smells somewhat plastic-y. Curious about the taste, will let you know.

Guess what I'm going to have for lunch today?! Great idea to use cling film :D

No actual plastic will be left on the egg. Cling wrap can withstand higher heats.

Depends on the wrap being used. Not 100% sure. But it's not directly heating it in a microwave, only heating in water.

Good idea, i'm just a bit concerned about heating the wrap, can we be sure no plastic parts are released into the eggs?
