In the past i done this...but now i use banana oil...it's a solvent make With fermentation of banana...it's found in cosmetics store here in brazil... ;)

Acetone will break down the pigment over time. You're better off using nail polish thinner.

Every time I've done this in the past I found that acetone sort of ruins the polish...it never really was right again after that.
