How long do the bears last when made? And some buddies of mine tried this with tequila and they said the gummy bears melted anyone know why?

just because he's using gummy bears doesn't mean he's hiding anything.. just a fun way to enjoy gummy bears and vodka, plus it tastes great. like jello shots. but for the guide, i wouldn't recommend this way. better to have one of those lid containers. and just for clarification: you should leave the bears soaking in vodka until all the vodka has absorb in the bears. never use too many bears or too much vodka.

Another great guide James. With help of a needle inject vodka inside a melon and freeze it for a day , than cut in half and remove the seeds put ice cream inside and Enjoy :) You can make a guide for this .
