Last week, at the farmers market, I bought a huge Reed avocado here in Hawaii . It ripened 3 days ago and I've been eating avocado & tomato sandwiches since! Thought I'd share the love.

This is basically all you need.   I like rye bread because I like the flavor with avocad, but you can use any type you like.

Prepare your bread with mayo and mustard to taste.

Prepare your avocado.   I prefer mashing it so it stays on the bread better.  Some people prefer it sliced.

Add avocado the the bread, spread evenly and add salt & pepper to taste.

Slice tomato to desired thickness, add to avocado, then top with just a few leaves of fresh basil.

We grow em big here in Hawaii! :) It's just the type of avocado it is. This does have a little different texture, flavor is about the same. Texture is more buttery. YUMMY
