How to Make the Perfect Salad
Instagram - @racheljudee
**DISCLAIMER** Normally I would add cherry or grape tomatoes, and prosciutto or pancetta, but I didn't have any in the house.
This is the brand of Boccucini I prefer to use. I am consistently impressed with the quality of this product
As you can see, there are several sizes. Choose the biggest.
Take off the lid and remove the film.
Grab your cutting board...
And your trusty knife.
This is how big it is in comparison to my thumb.
Slice it in even "coin" shapes.
Spread em out.
Take out your cookie cutter. Make sure it is smaller than the cheese. You can improvise by using a knife and cutting it yourself.
Cut your shapes outa your cheese.
Pile the leftover cheese for later use, or snack away.
Take your lettuce.
Usually three stalks of romaine is enough for my lunch.
Chop.
Place in bowl or plate.
Get out your basil.
Take a sprig.
Rip apart and incorporate into salad.
Save a leaf for garnish.
Place your cheese.
Stay tuned for the dressing!
Take out a small glass bowl.
Put about 3-4tbsp oil in a bowl. I usually use Extra Virgin Olive Oil, but I had to improvise.
Add about 1/2 the amount of balsamic vinegar. I estimate amounts.
This is the great stuff I had.
Stir. Beware that it will not blend perfectly because the densities are so different.
Add some fresh cracked pepper.
Drizzle generously over salad.
Garnish.
What to do with the extra?
Take out ur bread. I love this garlic naan, but you can also use pita or foccatia.
Cut into eights. You could toast it first, but I didn't.
Place your dressing bowl within a bowl and garnish bread around.
Please feel free to comment or message with new tutorial requests. I can give you a shoutout with it, and I'll try to get to all of them ASAP. ;) Happy Guiding!
