Step 6 of 16

You can warm up the milk in a microwave oven for 1 minute, but I prefer the stove for more control of the milk's temperature . Do Not boil the milk though!

You can get the vanilla from Starbucks. It's 3 pumps of vanilla and caramel drizzle on top. There is no caramel syrup in a caramel macchiato which is weird, but it's good

@kyla: you'd add ice cubes to the mixture in your blender, get the milk right from the refrigerator and also you can let your coffee cool down & then add it to the blend :)

You can actually get vanilla syrup at your local Starbucks and it lasts for a while! I use mine all the time! But vanilla is a must or it's not a caramel macchiato!

@Allison Meadows: Where do u live? You can get it from a nearby Walmart or target department store, any big hypermarket should have a section for coffee, topping creams and syrups. :)

Hi Mustapha! Thanks for the advice! Actually I don't have an espresso machine but I do make less than one cup of Colombia bold coffee and I pour about 1/4 of the amount made into the mug. So it's not that watery. But I'll buy espresso machine in the near future :) Thanks again!

Sorry, but a macchiato is an "espresso-based drink". Drip coffee makes it watery and flimsy.. But good guide, thanks
