Hello Esme. You can add mini marshmallows, chopped nuts, chopped dried fruit, even chopped Turkish delight. You can also add any flavouring you like in the cocoa sauce. This desert is very popular in Romania and very easy to make. For whoever doesn't want to use the raw egg, you can cook the sugar with the butter, then add the liquid ( we normally use water), let it boil and then pour it over the biscuits and mix. The secret of a good consistency is to break the biscuits into small chunks, not crumbs, otherwise you end up with a paste instead of biscuits salami. Good luck everybody!

augardente are generic terms for alcoholic beverages that contain between 29% and 60% alcohol by volume. The terms mean "fiery water" or "burning water";[1] a similar English-based term is the slang "firewater"
