Poached usually means cooked lightly in liquid. These are microwave eggs! Handy tho. I do mine in a mug with clingfilm over the top.

Poached eggs should never be done in the microwave, they taste and look like plastic. They only take a few minutes to do on the hob and you don't have to waste money on an over priced gadget!!

Nice guide, but why would you cook in microwave?! Micro waves actually distrubs the molecular structure of anything that you put inside - with bit of a research find out for yourself. I just felt the urge to let you know. We have thrown away microwave long time ago and we sont miss it at all.

Wow, what a cool gadget... quick and easy peasy! I have the chickens, I have plenty of eggs... since I don't know of a Japanese store in our town is there a specific name I should be looking for online for the poacher? Thanks for sharing this guide, when you raise chickens and end up with an over abundance of eggs I love hearing about new (to me anyway) products to cook eggs quicker and easier. :-)
