How to Make Pure, Inexpensive Almond Milk

Step 1 of 5

Soak almonds in water over night. You can soak more then 10 almonds if you like a stronger flavor. To taste like store bought all you need is 10! Soak them before you go to bed.

Step 2 of 5

Wake up, peel skin off almonds. You will have no trouble, at this point the skin just slides off.

Step 3 of 5

Add almonds to blender and fill with water. The almond milk blend should be white their may be some crushed almond at the bottom of blender.

Step 4 of 5

You can sieve them out (almond grind) or leave them in like I do. They don't interfere with the milk till you reach the bottom

Step 5 of 5

Ta da! All done you can leave in blender or put in a pitcher. Store in the fridge for up to 3or4 days. Enjoy almond lovers & lactose intolerant friends!

You're welcome! The amount of almonds is up to you and how you enjoy your milk. Yum, I think I'll try putting in some vanilla or cocoa next time thank you for that recipe F.I.

I think I put a little too much water in it so I ended up using 18 almonds, with a little hint of vanilla put in. Sooo good though, thank you!

Yep! That's all, and you can adjust the flavor just by adding more or less almonds. I know what you mean it is soooo overpriced. Glad you'll save your cash and not have to lug those cases around anymore, cheers!

Seriously? That's all there is to it? That's great! I spend a ton of money on Almond milk as I put it into a protein shake I drink 1-2 times per day. I hate lugging cases of the stuff from my local natural food store. Thanks!

I know how much Of a pain lactose can be. 10 is the amount of almonds + the size of my blender about six cups that I like, my bro likes 10 almonds per 1 cup and he gets a more creamy version so experiment till you find the amount that is right for you and your blender, enjoy!
