Things to know: 1. It takes about 1.5 hrs to cook 1 pound of pork at 250 degrees. 2. Slow cooking helps to keep the natural flavors from burning off.

I've done it in a crockpot starting with a frozen pork roast. Add your spices, cook on low about 8 to 10 hours ( great for a weeknight when working) and after shreading up add 2 Tablespoons of red wine vinegar. You can also use a BBQ packet form the store.
