Cut the tomatoes in little cubes. You want all of your ingredients to be about the same size.

Put the tomato a mixing bowl.

Cut and add the onion. Mix it up to see what your tomato : onion ratio is.

Add the jalapeño. Mix it up. At the point I like to taste the salsa to see how hot the jalapeños are. If they're super hot I usually add more tomatoes. If they're not spicy at all I usually add more.

Finely chop the cilantro. Add it to the bowl and mix.

I make mine just about the same but add minced garlic (from a jar).... Gives it a little bite, which I love and when I serve it people can't get it down fast enough.... Garlic to taste( I prefer a couple tablespoons)

I would say a couple days... Any longer and the tomatoes and onions get really soggy. Make sure to store it in the fridge!
