For this batch of salsa I used 3 tomatoes, 1/4 of the onion, handful of cilantro, 2 1/2 jalapeños, 2 lemons, and 3/4 of a lime.
Cut the tomatoes in little cubes. You want all of your ingredients to be about the same size.
Put the tomato a mixing bowl.
Cut and add the onion. Mix it up to see what your tomato : onion ratio is.
Add the jalapeño. Mix it up. At the point I like to taste the salsa to see how hot the jalapeños are. If they're super hot I usually add more tomatoes. If they're not spicy at all I usually add more.
Finely chop the cilantro. Add it to the bowl and mix.
Add the lemon juice. Careful not to get any seeds in the salsa. If you do, just take them out with a spoon.
Here's my cutting board mess!
Add some garlic salt and pepper. Mix it all together.
Doesn't it look pretty?!? Enjoy with tortilla chips for a snack. Goes great with Carne Asada or grilled chicken.
I hope you enjoyed this "how to." Thanks for reading! :)
