Peel & slice plantain,  1/2 inch slices

Add oil to pan,  heat on medium.  Add plantain when hot.

Let fry until golden brown on one side,  then flip.

A west Indian lady I met about ten years ago had a horrible sweet tooth... That's what she told me to do... I also have a sweet tooth and prefer them this way :D. Next time I am flouting them though... I may like that!!!

If the plantains are ripe and yellow you won't need anything to make them sweet they'll already be sweet enough! :) the green plantains can be used for frying or making tostones

Nice....but they way how we do out plantains is that we cut them up, put them in a flour, then fry them...with the flour you get more the browning look.... :)
