You'll need 365 3" x 5" lined notecards, but since the store doesn't sell packs of 365, I got a 300 pack and a 100 pack
Step 2 of 12
You'll need a container like this with 3 or 4 slots. The reason we need 3 or four slotted containers is because there are twelve months and we divide them into these sections. 3 & 4 go into 12 evenly
Step 3 of 12
Unwrap your notecards, you should have 35 cards extra if you bought 400 notecards.
Step 4 of 12
Just put the extra aside
Step 5 of 12
Turn the cards over to the lined side
Step 6 of 12
I'm using a thin sharpie pen to write in the cards
Step 7 of 12
Start by writing Jan 1 in the top right corner of your first notecard
Step 8 of 12
Continue the dates of the year with the rest of the cards OR look at the next step for an easier and faster way to do this
Step 9 of 12
An easier way to do it is to write the date on the day of that card. So write the dates as you go through the year. Then, the next year, you'll already have them done.
Step 10 of 12
Here is an example of a card I started in 2010. Write the year on one line, followed by a dash, the the highlight of your day summarized in one line. Continue on that card for each year of that day
Step 11 of 12
When you're done with the card for that day, just put it in the back of the pile
Step 12 of 12
Here is an example of finished one completed with pictures of events that happened that day. Be creative with the containers. This one's an egg carton
