How to Make Ombré Nails
Make a gradient with a small sponge and three nail polish colors.
The supplies.
Apply clear base coat. Let dry.
Apply the lightest color. Let dry.
Cut up or tear the make-up sponge into small cubes.
Drip a tiny puddle of the medium nail color onto a discardable paper. Pick up the sponge cube with tweezers.
Dab the spronge into the paint, and starting at the tip of your nail, dab the paint to apply it 2/3 of the way to the base. Come back and apply a bit more if it needs to be darker.
It will be messy on the sides of your nails. Leave it for now.
Use the same dabbing technique to apply the darkest polish to the top 1/3 of the nail. I used black polish.
Clean up the sides with a q-tip soaked in nail polish remover.
Apply a clear top coat.
