Step 1 of 13

This is a very simple, laid back recipe, and has no exact measurements. Feel free to experiment with it. Go ahead and try new flavours using the same steps. The possibilities are endless!

Step 2 of 13
Put a bunch of nutella into your blender. I probably used like 2 tbs.

Step 6 of 13

Pour in the milk.

Step 7 of 13

Slip the bag out of the cup, then get as much air out of the bag as you can and seal it up.

Step 8 of 13
Fill the big bag up with some ice.

Step 9 of 13

Now dump a bunch of salt on it.

Step 10 of 13

Now put the sealed bag of milk and nutella into the big bag of ice and salt. DO NOT MIX THE TWO! Close up the big bag. Shake the bag while wearing gloves for about 5 min. --->

Step 11 of 13

Take out the small bag of what should be starting to look like icecream. You might be done here. Check the consistency of the icecream, and if it's too liquidy, shake longer.

Step 12 of 13

When the icecream is ready, Snip off a corner of the bag and squeeze out the ice cream.

Glad I read these comments first; I would have mixed the salt, ice, and bag of milk together - that's how I understood it. Heather, can you edit your guide?

D Flo

Ahh ok. Now I get it. So first you mix the salt and ice for a min or two then add the Nutella mix bag into the ice salt bath bag. Thx.

D Flo 7 months ago

Heather W

D Flo, in step 10 you put the small bag of milk into the big bag of ice and salt. You don't mix them if that's what your thinking.

D Flo

Hi! Why is step 7 necessary to put in separate bag and squeeze air out when it seems like your supposed to add to ice and salt in step 10? Also, I never saw you add the mixture to the salt and ice in the guide, it looked like you just shook the ice and salt. Sorry I'm confused.

I just did mine and it's very watery. I used low fat milk. or maybe it's because I didnt mix it in ice and salt long enough, I did it for 5 minutes, my hands were numb. Anyway I just put it in a container and left it in the freezer. I can't wait to eat the ice cream tmrw :)

Some weird sciencey thing. It's what makes the ice cold enough to freeze the milk.

(author) 2 months ago

Heather W

It mixes the liquid to make the icecream smoother.
