Once the quinoa's cooking time is done put peas on top and lid on for it's resting time of 10 mins. This will defrost the peas and cool down the quinoa at the same time!

Thanks for this variation! It's a low fat meal! (avocado is high in fat... Not at all sure just how much fat there is, but I am hoping it will be something I can easily eat without a problem). I just cannot consume foods that are medium to high in fats. Apparently my stomach will not tolerate it. Thanks so much for this!!!

Hey Suzanne enjoy! Quinoa is great for vegans! Try mixing it up! Add chopped nuts to, lots of herbs, olives, sundried tomatoes....

I grab the blade with thumb and forefinger, from the top in this picture, so my finger tips touch the seed. Then pinching the blade will gently dislodge the seed. Works on knifes you can't flex...
