Step 1 of 6
The jeans must fit you well when zipped up all the way, even if you cant button them. Carefully rip off the entire waistband and zipper, leaving the part of the jeans that used to hide the zipper.

Cut the top 1/3 (somewhere around where your ribcage would be) off of a t-shirt or tank top, discard. The t-shirt must fit you snugly or the material won't hold up the pants properly later!

Step 5 of 6
Stitch a straight line all the way around the waist about 1/4-5/8 inches from the edge, then go around the edge with a zig zag to prevent fraying.

When you pull the t-shirt up over your belly,, the inside (wrong side) should be showing. Fold it down and it will look like another layer peaking out! :)

I haven't been pregnant in years, but I turn all of my jeans into pull ons - way more comfy :)

A friend I used to know had cerebral palsy and her kind affected her hands so she had a hard time pulling up jeans for example but pants like this that are stretchy are way easier to get on. Jeans specifically were hard for her since she could hardly stand nevermind trying to get jeans on and off and then try to zipper or button them.

This is also a great idea for the disabled and elderly or even people that have arthritis. I myself am disabled and I had three pregnancies and these always worked great for me. And your idea is great for me because I'm super short so pregnancy pants are impossible to come by. I wish I would have seen this guide years ago.
