How to Make Lavender Infused Sugar

Step 1 of 3

Pick the small flowers of your lavender. 100 ml = 7 tbsp. 1/2kg = 1lb.

Step 2 of 3

Mix lavender flowers, lemon peel and sugar.

Step 3 of 3

Leave out in the sun until dry, or use a hot air oven on low temperature Stir when passing by. Use to sprinkle over cakes, in tea or in cakes.

Dear Melisa I live in Denmark so I really don't know where you could find lavender in the USA but try farmers marked or grow them your self they are easy and don't demand a lot of care just cutting in flowering season

Sounds like it would be an awesome addition to sugar cookies. That would make them positively gourmet. And the smell in the kitchen would bring everyone in.
