Hi Saz :) You're welcome. Well, at my home, a bowl of hummus goes away in one family meal :D according what I read in shelflifeadvise dot com, leftover hummus should be refrigerated within two hours of serving it. Bacteria grow quickly once perishables reach room temperature. However, if the leftover is quite a lot and you probably will eat it in few days, the best way is to freeze the hummus. However, freezing hummus will alter the smooth, rich consistency and texture that makes our dips enjoyable. To defrost, just put the hummus in room temperature, and drizzled lil bit of extra virgin olive oil and mix it up. Won't be the same consistency but I think it would be ok :) Hope it helps :)

Putri Chaerul

Didn't catch ur message. Black sesame would be unusual but that would be ok too. Would be slightly different in flavor. In fact, black sesame contain 60% calcium more than hulled (the white sesame). No need to roast it first, just toasted for1-2 mints. Hope it helps

Putri Chaerul

Hi Goi :) I'm sorry I didn't catch

Thanks. I LOVE garlic..we recently went to a plant based diet and I would like to make my own hummus..

Putri Chaerul

Hi Teri :) first, minced the garlic. For the people who like more garlicky zing, may add additional clove of garlic :)

(author) last month

Teri Sundine

Confused. Do you mince the garlic and add it PLUS add a whole piece of garlic too?
