For melting the candy coating, would it not be easier to put a heat proof bowl over the simmering water? Can't wait to try these, they sound scrumptious!

I made these for work. They were easy to make (good guide), and they were REALLY GREAT!!! One girl said it was the best minute and a half of her life (when she ate one), and that I should quit my job immediately, and start making and selling them to everyone in the world!!!!! LOL!!! Seriously though, they are excellent and part of my permanent recipe collection!! Thanks!

I like your idea of the dye! I would be careful of having kids do this, though. The chocolate is very hot.

Daniella Sforza

You could also get white chocolate and a couple drops veggi based dye if you can't find wiltons. This looks great for kids to do too!

Laine Smith

That's a good idea!! Would be waaaayy too tempting just at home!

Lol they are way too good! When I make them I have to take them to a party so I don't eat all of them myself!

(author) 7 months ago

Laine Smith

No need to joke! Haha everyone will be eating these!

Alyson Hames

Hmm, maybe if it was refrigerated. Not sure, I'll have to experiment. Or you could go even further and add a layer if Nutella under the chocolate layer. My goodness haha

Alyson Hames 7 months ago

Chick Opinion

Haha that sounds good, but would the Nutella harden?

(author) 7 months ago

Alyson Hames

Yum, chopped peanuts and coat it with Nutella. Oh wow!

Another "goodie" that sounds and looks good. I like your ideas! My Dr. has me on a high-fiber diet , so I might add some nuts in with the Oreo's to crunch up. Thanks for the good idea's.

Ohh okay! No that's fine, we don't use the word candy here that's all so I just wanted to check :)

The brown one is, but I'm not sure about the orange candy. It might be dyed white chocolate. Sorry!

Laine Smith

So the 'candy' is chocolate?

Laine Smith 7 months ago

Chick Opinion

Yes! The chocolate truffles are covered in dark chocolate. If you have any chocolate you can melt it the same way shown in this guide. :)

(author) 7 months ago

Karin Siöö

Im pretty sure er don't have that product here in Sweden, but I guess I could use chocolate instead..

Karin Siöö 7 months ago

Chick Opinion

It's just the candy you buy at the store to melt. It's in little discs. Wilton makes them.
