Dear Ralu there are red and green gooseberries. The red are a bit sweeter than the green. A good plant nursery should have them.

I grow them in my garden. But try farmers marked or ask for them. It is a lovely fruit and packed with vitamin C. Instead of gooseberries try rhubarb or black or red currents. you will need a fruit with some sourness.
