I am using this gelato mix which I bought from my local supermarket, hopefully you can buy something similar from your supermarket if not I have ingredients to make it from scratch on the next page

Pour the contents from the packet into a large mixing bowl. If you want to make it from scratch add 1/2 cup of caster sugar, 1/2 cup of cocoa powder and 4 egg yolks

Set up your ice cream maker If you don't have an ice cream maker, just use your electric mixer on high for 5 minutes

Shine W - Yes whole milk, I think it's about 4% fat, but I guess people can try other milks, I think they might not be as creamy or smooth, but worth a try. I might have a go with less fat milks and see for myself in the next few days 😉

Also you can do it with a mixer, because the mixer makes it smoother over 5 minutes and then you just put it in the container and freeze it, it still comes out ok

My ice cream maker is a Sunbeam Gelateria 1L it does ice cream and gelato and sorbet. Not sure where you live, but I would do an Internet search in your area.

Where can I buy one of those fancy ice cream makers!? I don't think a mixer would work cuz it's not gonna freeze the ice cream
