Dear Waverly. I'm the one to say thank you to you sweet girl. Your questions was so relevant and clever. Keep asking for explanations from everybody, and only be satisfied with the answer when you understand. This way you will learn so much about yourself and about other people. You and I would never have started talking if you had not asked me for an explanation. NEVER feel that your questions are silly. Silly questions do not exist. I'm happy to know you.

Dear Waverly adults make mistakes just like children and we do stupid things. Go look at my guide how to play a pain organ and you will see an adult doing something stupid, but fun.

Dear Waverly no offence taken. You should ask your mom. If you saw somebody doing something that you knew was dangerous, would you not tell them?

I can see that I made a mistake. Just because you are not my child, does not mean that I don't care. I do care.

Then you ask me why I care. It is not sassy it is a valid point. I care because I'm a mother and just because you are not my child, does not mean that I should do what I can to protect you. Hope it answers your questions. My English is not good I know but I hope you understand, ask again if you don't understand.

As to why it is still in use in USA is because it is cheap to mine, and it works well in washing detergent. When uranium were first discovered it was used in toothpaste, because it made the teeth white. We know now that that was a very bad idea. Again with poisoning from uranium you won't feel it. Now borax is not as dangerous as uranium, but it is a poison and as I said it is forbidden by law to use it in Europe.

Dear Waverly you are not annoying, you are curious and asking important questions because you are an intelligent young woman. Firstly you will not feel that you are being poisoned by Borax. What it will do is that it will make it almost impossible for you to have children later on in your life. If you get pregnant with a high level of borax in your body, your child have a very high possibility to be born with serious defects.

It gets in to your body thru the skin. PLEASE do not touch Borax.

Dear Waverley NO is the short answer. It is so dangerous to every body, but children especially because they have a smaller body and therefore it does not take more then a very small amount to be poisoned. By a small amount I mean less than 1 gram. It will stay in your body all your life. So the more you handle it the more you get in your body.

Dear Julie. Borax is an extremely toxic mineral that will poison you and the children. Borax is forbidden by law in Europe because it is so dangerous. Do not under any circumstances let children play with it. Please take your guide down before you poison innocent children.
