Gather supplies! Okay, to be honest, this isn't the same amount I listed in the ingredients. I'm whipping up a mini batch for the boyfriend and I. Methods the same, quantity is just different π
Before you do anything cube up the velveta. I used their new queso blanco - toooo goood.
Brown up that meat, playa! seasoning it at this point is a good idea too π not too salty!!! The velveta and salsa will ensure that this is flavor packed, don't over do it.
All done! Drain off that icky fatty stuff.
Now throw everything into your very deep skillet (I used a wok). The Rotel adds heat and some tomatoes but you may want to add a wee bit (1/4 of a cup?) of salsa just to work out the texture.
Put it over medium heat and let it work it's magic.
Oh yeah. Mix that ish up!
After about 10 minutes you'll get this creamy looking pan of liquid greatness. When all of the chunks of velveta are gone, you're donezo!
Put it on some chips and go crazy
If you're making this for a party or something you can just dump everything in a crock pot for an hour and keep it on the heat so it stays nice and warm for a while
I would normally have done this but I wanted queso NOW π put left overs in the fridge and reheat whenever you're ready!
