Let it sit for 10-12 hours. It will begin to set up and become solid. Use a hand mixer and give it a quick mix. If it is too thick, add a little warm water until it is your desired consistency.

Made my first batch today, very easy. I was worried it wasn't going to thicken up because it seemed so watery to begin with but after a few hours all the magic started happening

Can't say that I included the cost of electricity, but it took only about 5 minutes on the stove top to melt the soap and less than a minute of the hand mixer. You could have done the mixing by hand.

Mine ended up very runny- must have been the kind of soap I used. Any suggestions for thickening it?
