If u r using a chocolate block like I was, chop it up into small bits. It's much more convenient if using chocolate kisses/chips
Over simmering water.........
Place the chocolate in a container and allow to melt
Use a spoon to stir as it melts
It's ready when its all melted and smooth.
At this stage, u need a solid smooth cold surface, preferably marble. Pour the melted chocolate on the surface.
Spread the chocolate as thin a layer as possible and even. When it's thick, it's harder to attain the desired results.
Allow to cool and completely solidify.
Make cuts on the surface. This is to ensure u get neat even sized curls.
Using a knife scrape off the chocolate by placing the knife at the angle above
Try and move the nice non stop from one end to the other along the cuts made.
Don't mind the not so round ones but the more you do this the better u get. Use to garnish or eat as they are! Look out for more ideas on where to use 'em!
