Step 2 of 12

Clean the balloons thoroughly with soap and water - you don't want your chocolate bowls to taste like plastic!

Step 3 of 12
Blow up your balloon to the desired size of your bowl.

Step 4 of 12

A note BEFORE you melt your chocolate: Constantly stir the chocolate - don't let it burn!

Step 5 of 12
I used a oven safe bowl (as I don't have a double boiler) over a pot. Boil 1 1/2 cup water. Turn the fire off then place the bowl on top of the steaming water. Slowly add & stir the chocolate morsels.

Step 7 of 12

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Step 8 of 12
Place the completed balloons in the freezer for 10 minutes, or in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Make sure the chocolate is fully hardened before taking them out!

Step 9 of 12

Once you take the bowls out, poke a small hole at the top of the balloon and let the air seep out. Then slowly and gently pull the balloon away from the chocolate.

Here are my bowls! Not perfect, but still cute and totally edible!

Step 11 of 12

You can put whatever you want in your bowls! I mixed a spoonful of the vanilla instant pudding to 1/2 cup of whipped cream. I put the whipped cream mixture in the bottom of my bowls.

Add your fruit and toppings and you're all done! Enjoy!

Hi Cammy! I looked at your guide. There are three things that may have your bowls cracking. 1) If the chocolate is still too hot (runny) when you dip the balloons the coating will be THIN. Its best to have it cool down a lot after taking it out the microwave. The thicker the chocolate goes on the balloon, the more sturdy the bowl will be! 2) Spraying the balloon with oil may make it break easily. Try sticking the dipped balloons (without the spray) into the freezer for 10 min. The harder the chocolate, the easier it is to pull the balloon away! 3) The type of chocolate you use. I'm not familiar with Cadbury chocolate, honestly, so maybe try another type? Hope that helps! :)
