Wow this sounds amazing! I tried it and it came out very dry, what should i do to ensure I get the moist texture everyone loves about cake pops. But thanks for the recipe! You seem very talented at this and I love the ending pictures!

@Rochelle the number of pops from each box depends on how big the balls are :) usually I get at least 2 dozen & they're a perfect size! Aim for a size of a ping pong/golf ball :)

@Diana Too gooey may mean that either it needs to be refrigerated longer OR put less icing in the mix :)

Hi Dana, like Sue mentioned above, I get them at Michael's and they're made by Wilton and are called Lollipop Sticks. The ones I use are made of paper & not plastic but I'm sure either would work. In the step by step pictures, you'll notice a brown stick, that's a BBQ skewer stick. It was before I realised how affordable the lollipop sticks were! HEHEH.

(author) last year

Sage Benson

You should do a guide on the sushi ones!! I know you said you would never make them again but it would be so cool! I would probably be excited enough to get off my lazy a** and make them! (that's a big achievement, considering I never do anything!). No pressure but... Please??? *puppy eyes*

Irene Pavico

How do I come up with themes? Usually I look around online for ideas or if I'm making it for someone, I just ask for the color & flavor they like :) The sushi one was THE hardest... didn't find any "sushi cakes" online that I liked, so I looked at an actual Tuna Sushi Roll and used that as my inspiration and it turned out to be a masterpiece!! I don't think I'd ever make em again though LOL.

Irene Pavico

Not really... you just have to keep tapping it against the edge of the bowl to get em out once it gets full or use your hands to get the crumbs out :) Once you have fine crumbs and a few big chunks, take the whisk and hold it vertical and aim for the bigger chunks to smash em!!
